What you will do:
• End-to-End Project Leadership: Own the complete life cycle of data science
initiatives, from ideation and data collection to model development, deployment, and
performance monitoring.
• Hands-On Development: Actively engage in coding and development, employing
advanced programming skills to build, test, and refine predictive models and
machine learning algorithms.
• Team Leadership and Development: Lead and expand the data science team,
directly participating in the recruitment, mentorship, and professional development
processes to build a high-performing team.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, product, and
operations teams to ensure seamless integration of data science solutions into our
platform, driving significant improvements in logistics operations.
• Innovation and Best Practices: Champion the adoption of state-of-the-art data
science methodologies, tools, and best practices, maintaining our competitive edge
in the logistics tech sector.
• Strategic Influence: Present data-driven insights and recommendations to senior
management and stakeholders, playing a critical role in shaping the strategic

What You will Need to Succeed:
• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Over 8 years of experience in data science, including hands-on expertise in
statistical modelling, machine learning, and analytics.
• Demonstrated ability in leading data science projects from conception through
implementation and evaluation, with a portfolio of successful initiatives.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R and familiarity with
data science and machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Strong leadership qualities, with at least 3 years of experience in managing and
developing data science teams.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously, taking
initiative in high-stakes scenarios.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical details to
non-technical stakeholders.
