Job Summary

The PHP Full Stack Developer will play a crucial role in modernizing our applications by migrating legacy systems built on PHP/CodeIgniter to Laravel 12. This position requires proficiency in both backend and frontend development, ensuring seamless integration and user experience through modern technologies.

Responsibilities

• Migrate existing legacy PHP/CodeIgniter codebases to Laravel 12 using the Backend for Frontend (BFF) pattern.
• Develop robust APIs and service layers, ensuring backend functionalities are efficient and scalable.
• Build modular React components, transitioning from jQuery Server-Side Rendering (SSR) to modern Single Page Application (SPA) development.
• Utilize MySQL for database management, including indexing, partitioning, and replication mechanisms.
• Implement Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Git, and ensure comprehensive testing through PHPUnit, Pest, Jest, and Cypress.
• Deploy applications using Docker and manage containerized applications effectively.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: 5-7 years of hands-on experience in web development with a focus on PHP and Laravel.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in PHP and Laravel 12.
  • Strong experience in React and TypeScript.
  • Solid understanding of MySQL.
  • Familiarity with containerization using Docker.
  • Knowledge of modern CI/CD practices.
  • Experience with testing frameworks such as PHPUnit, Pest, Jest, and Cypress.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Golang (Gin).
• Familiarity with Kafka or Beanstalkd for event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of migration and system design in SaaS environments.

Experience

• Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience, particularly in migrations and system design.
• Preference for candidates with a background in product development rather than service/maintenance projects.

This position offers a hybrid work model based in Bangalore.
