Job Summary

The MEP Senior Manager (Mechanical) will oversee and manage the mechanical design and execution for both residential and commercial projects. This role is integral to ensuring compliance with local and international standards, optimizing designs for efficiency, and managing stakeholder expectations. The position requires a blend of technical expertise, effective communication, and leadership skills to navigate complex project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure complete understanding and adherence to local and international design standards, codes, and requirements.
• Conduct design calculations, including Water Demand Calculations, Elevator Traffic Analysis, and equipment selection.
• Review and approve MEP designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and the BIM team to integrate MEP systems seamlessly into designs.
• Optimize mechanical designs for energy efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct periodic site visits to review the quality of MEP installations and ensure design implementation.
• Coordinate with stakeholders for approvals and follow up on project deliverables.
• Participate actively in meetings, providing technical solutions to design and site issues.

Qualifications

• Educational Qualifications:
  • B.E. in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 14 years of relevant experience, or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 17+ years of experience.
• Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge of local and international design standards and codes.
  • Proficiency in MEP design software (AutoCAD, Revit MEP).
  • Strong understanding of architectural and structural drawings.
  • Good knowledge of electrical and Low Voltage systems.
• Soft Skills:
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management.
  • Team management and mentoring abilities.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a motivating presence.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of sustainability and achieving Net Zero goals.
• Experience in conducting risk analyses and stormwater design criteria.

Experience

• Minimum of 14+ years in mechanical design and execution, preferably with Grade A real estate developers.
