Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Budget Management:

    • Maintain and oversee the budgetary process for various departments.
    • Collaborate with department heads to develop annual, monthly and quarterly budgets and financial plans.
    • Monitor budget performance throughout the fiscal year, identifying variances and addressing discrepancies.

 

Expense Analysis:

  • Conduct regular reviews of departmental expenses to identify areas for improvement and cost optimization.
  • Compare actual expenses against budgeted figures, and analyze the root causes of variances.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for reducing or optimizing expenses.

 

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and distribute detailed reports on departmental budget performance to management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Offer clear, data-driven explanations for budget variances and propose actionable solutions.

 

  • Forecasting and Planning:
    • Assist in forecasting future departmental expenses based on historical data and current trends.
    • Collaborate with department heads to adjust budgets and financial plans as needed.
  • Compliance and Policy Adherence:
    • Ensure that departmental spending aligns with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
    • Identify any areas of non-compliance and work with department heads to rectify them
