Job Summary

The Cognos TM1 role is responsible for addressing complex production issues, collaborating with team members, and ensuring efficient operation of IBM TM1 systems. This position plays a critical role in enhancing the effectiveness of the Enterprise Business Intelligence & Analytics team through proactive problem-solving, solution implementation, and documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex production issues expediently, either independently or in collaboration with others.
• Perform root cause analysis and devise, test, and implement solutions.
• Collaborate with various teams (Infrastructure, ETL, Data, etc.) to meet deliverables and deadlines.
• Identify recurring issues and propose solutions for enhanced efficiency.
• Explore opportunities for process automation and assist in implementation.
• Document procedures to facilitate handover to Level 1 and 2 Application Support.
• Assist in development, testing, and miscellaneous activities for the Enterprise BI & Analytics team as required.

Qualifications

• Technical Skills:
  • Strong command of IBM TM1 (Planning Analytics).
  • Proficient in Oracle and SQL.
  • Hands-on experience in designing, building, and maintaining TM1 models, cubes, and reports.
  • Experience in writing TM1 Process and Complex Rules according to business needs.
  • Familiarity with TM1 security implementation for applications, cubes, dimensions, and elements.
  • Skilled in creating reports using TM1 Active Forms, TM1 Action Buttons, and complex VBA code.
  • Proficient in managing, designing, and supporting PAX and PAW reports.
  • Experience writing SQL queries in Snowflake database for building and validating TM1 cubes.
  • Knowledge of TM1 administration activities.
  • Experience in writing batch files to call TM1 processes.

  • Effective problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

• Training skills to educate users on system usage.
• Ability to ensure system efficiency, security, and effectiveness.

Experience

• Minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience in Cognos TM1 or related fields.

Environment

Work locations include Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, or Noida, with flexibility regarding remote or on-site arrangements.

Salary

• For 6-9 Years of Experience: ₹20 LPA
• For 9+ Years of Experience: ₹25 LPA
