Job Summary
The Process Manager - Asset Management in Bayer's Global Business Services (GBS) Finance is responsible for identifying and implementing best practices across GBS to enhance both operational and non-operational performance. This role ensures that financial processes are standardized, efficient, and compliant with Bayer’s policies, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and local accounting regulations. It involves collaborating with other departments and stakeholder management to deliver reliable financial outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate functional topics as a senior expert in financial processes and support team members in their work and development.
- Actively engage in a global expert community focused on process excellence within the relevant area.
- Implement reporting requirements from various functions including Accounting, Taxes, Controlling, Treasury, and Auditors to improve cost, quality, compliance, and time efficiency across GBS locations.
- Collaborate with the Center of Expertise (CoE) and Global Process Governance (GPG) to align globally defined standards and liaise on Record to Report (R2R) issues.
- Manage stakeholder engagement to understand and meet their expectations while driving satisfaction.
- Ensure operational effectiveness of internal control systems for financial statement preparation and presentation, maintaining accuracy in coordination with relevant parties.
- Lead local and global projects, including mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, while identifying opportunities to add value through consultancy and process optimization.
- Monitor and steer performance excellence using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Qualifications
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, Economics, or a relevant field.
- Finance, Accounting, or Tax qualification; Project and Digital certifications are highly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of end-to-end financial processes.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting, including IFRS and local Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong self-motivation and flexibility; ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
- Experience in conducting trainings and workshops.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in international process training and organizing workshops.
- Ability to influence others and execute governance of accounting.
- Proficiency in digital skills, including familiarity with enterprise business systems (SAP) and data analytics tools (Tableau, PowerBI).
Experience
- 8+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Tax, Controlling, or a relevant field with a demonstrated understanding of external reporting and auditing.
- 3+ years of experience leading technical projects.
Environment
The office is based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India and its a hybrid role. The role may involve collaboration across various functions and regions, requiring flexibility to engage with global teams.
