Sr. EDI Consultant

Job Summary

The Sr. EDI Consultant will primarily provide application support for the Business Integration Suite, including product support, operational monitoring, and technical issue resolution within SEEBURGER Remote Services. This role ensures the successful technical operation of enterprise Managed File Transfer (MFT) and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) platforms, offering expert consulting, installation, configuration, and deployment of SEEBURGER Business Integration Suite solutions. The consultant will also assist in production issue resolution, system analysis, software updates, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Provide L1, L2, and L3 level production support and technical issue resolution for SEEBURGER BIS suite and other integration products such as Sterling, TIBCO, Software AG, Axway, and Dell Boomi.
  • Install, configure, deploy, and maintain SEEBURGER Business Integration Suite solutions, including backup, recovery, multi-node active clustering, high availability, and performance tuning.
  • Manage certificate generation, user password encryption settings, multi-tier password policies, PGP encryption, and SSH key configurations.
  • Monitor application stability and performance, review logs for user activity, and manage change processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in globally distributed systems, including data quality and adapter/connectivity problems.
  • Provide technical consulting and advisory services, assist customers with software updates, system analysis, and project support within the service environment.
  • Conduct root cause analysis, problem management, and continuous system improvement.
  • Support TPM (Trading Partner Management) and remain updated on EDI and internet technology developments.
  • Mentor and assist junior resources and colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of experience with SEEBURGER BIS suites.
  • Strong understanding of internet protocols such as TCP/IP, LDAP/LDAPS, SSL/TLS.
  • Proficiency in application maintenance, stability, and advanced LDAP concepts.
  • Experience with B2B, MFT, API, and ESB solutions including TIBCO, Software AG, IBM, Axway, Mulesoft, CA, Apigee, Dell Boomi, Oracle.
  • Familiarity with message standards like JSON, XML (SEPA, SWIFT, ISO20022), EDIFACT, X12, TRADACOMS.
  • Proficiency with UNIX, Linux, and Windows platforms; experience with shell scripting, Perl, Java scripting, and UNIX commands.
  • Strong infrastructure knowledge, problem management, and escalation management skills.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Educational qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Proficiency with database systems like DB2, Oracle, SQL, and Sybase.
  • Familiarity with network connectivity and communication protocols including AS2, FTP, SFTP, OFTP, MQ.
  • Experience with Rosetta-Net, ebXML industry standards, Java, REST API, and writing technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of IT service management tools such as HPSM, JIRA, Remedy, ServiceNow (SNOW).
  • Familiarity with WebServices, XLST, WSDL, SOAP, REST, BPEL, BPMN, JDeveloper, SoapUI, Jenkins, Ant, Maven.
  • Experience with SOA, EAI, middleware technologies like Websphere, Weblogic, Tomcat, Apache, IIS.
  • Certifications in security, cloud, and agile development.
  • Experience with continuous integration and development (CI/CD) and build and monitoring toolsets.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and self-develop.

Experience

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in SEEBURGER BIS suites and integration technologies.
  • Experience in production support, technical consulting, and troubleshooting in enterprise integration environments.
  • Experience handling incident management, escalation, and data center issues.
