Job Summary

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is a pivotal member of the executive leadership team at Aye Finance, responsible for developing and executing an IT strategy that aligns with the business strategy. The CTO will utilize IT capabilities to design business models, respond agilely to business priorities, collaborate on operational improvements, and drive the company's digital initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the IT strategic plan, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Oversee digital transformation journeys to augment operational efficiencies, enhance customer experiences, and expand market reach.
  • Build and scale IT architecture and capabilities around data warehouse, cloud, and analytics.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and provide insights on their potential applications.
  • Co-create and co-own a roadmap for the effective use of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
  • Manage core systems including Loan Origination, Loan Management, Collections Management, and CRM/Dialler.
  • Set up and manage a development/engineering team that designs and builds applications to support products and processes.
  • Develop and control the annual operating and capital budgets consistent with strategic objectives.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain a reliable team with the necessary business knowledge and technical skills.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and implement best practices in information security.

Qualifications

  • 15 years or more of IT management experience in progressive organizations with a significant digital footprint.
  • Experience in a leadership role such as CTO, CIO, or Head of IT is required.
  • Background in retail financial services is essential; fintech experience is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Deep understanding of lending processes and exposure to automation and digital initiatives.
  • Proven expertise in leading enterprise-wide transformation efforts and scaling up businesses.
  • Strong program governance and project management skills.
  • Sound business acumen and knowledge of emerging technologies.
  • Expertise in information security practices.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Understanding of innovative technologies and their applications in financial services.
  • Previous experience in vendor management and project/program management.
  • Familiarity with compliance and regulatory standards pertaining to information technology.

Experience

  • A minimum of 15 years of relevant IT management experience, with significant experience in executive leadership roles.

Environment

  • The role is based in Gurgaon, India, and may require collaboration with cross-functional teams both on-site and remotely in a fast-paced environment.
