Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and driven Analyst – Operations to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for achieving strategic objectives and maximizing shareholder value throughout the investment lifecycle. The Analyst will work closely with the CEOs, CXOs, and other management teams of the company’s portfolio to implement operational improvements and support the evaluation of new deals.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with investment teams to validate revenue projections, market-entry strategies, and business plans for new deals.
• Conduct market and competitive assessments to understand industry size, growth opportunities, and benchmark target positioning.
• Assist in developing Value Creation Plans for new businesses and support their implementation.
• Work alongside portfolio company leadership to identify and implement operational improvements.
• Support the development and execution of strategic initiatives to drive revenue growth, operational efficiency, and stronger financial controls.
• Project manage various workstreams, tracking delivery against action plans and KPIs.
• Analyze company performance across financial and operational parameters, report challenges, and suggest changes, while conducting regular performance reviews.
• Manage change interventions within portfolio companies at all levels.
• Engage in industry and company research, including financial functioning and operations benchmarking.
• Interpret financial statements, including profit and loss sheets and cash flow information.
• Write comprehensive business performance summaries.
• Understand industry dynamics and the company’s positioning within its peer group.

Qualifications

• Educational Background:

  • Profile 1: 1-2 years of experience from a top-tier consulting firm; undergraduate degree from a premier institute.
  • Profile 2: 4-5 years’ experience in a CEO’s office; MBA from a top institute.

• Key Skills:

  • Strong understanding of business with the ability to identify focus areas and insights.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective engagement across the organization.
  • Ability to multi-task across various assignments and tasks.
  • Outstanding written and spoken communication skills.
  • Proficient presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical capability, including proficiency in Excel and other analytical tools.
  • Excellent query handling, research skills, and quantitative analysis abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with robust project management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience within operational roles in private equity or related industries would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of financial modeling and company financial health indicators.

Experience
