Job Summary

The Senior Ruby on Rails (ROR) Developer will contribute to our technical team, focusing on enhancing our software solutions. This role requires a strong background in Ruby on Rails and proficiency in front-end technologies, enabling the development of high-quality web applications that meet evolving user needs.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one functional module of the system or service.
• Take ownership of design and quality for the service as the SME.
• Maintain a say/do ratio of > 95% in execution.
• Conduct code reviews and act as the quality gatekeeper for the SME area.
• Assist and mentor junior team members to elevate their capabilities.
• Enforce code review practices and test coverage across the team.
• Ensure that there are no regressions in the modules owned.
• Participate in interview panels and contribute to organizational growth.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of overall experience in software engineering.
• 3+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Proficient in front-end technologies including JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Solid experience with web services and a strong understanding of RESTful web services.
• Familiarity with JavaScript dependency management and build tools.
• Experience with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a capacity for independent direction as well as team collaboration.
• Experience using Git/GitHub version control.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related technical field.

Preferred Skills

• Additional experience in Agile methodologies and familiarity with DevOps practices.

Experience

• Minimum of 8 years in software engineering with relevant experience specifically in Ruby on Rails for at least 3 years.

Environment

• The role is onsite in Hyderabad and requires work during night shifts. The environment fosters creativity and innovation within a collaborative team.

Salary

• Estimated salary of 2 Lakh per month.
