Servicenow Developer - ITSM, ITOM Developer

Job Summary

The Servicenow Developer - ITSM, ITOM Developer plays a critical role in enhancing and maintaining the ServiceNow platform to optimize IT service delivery and operations. This position focuses on the configuration, customization, and deployment of ServiceNow applications. The developer is expected to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality of the IT service management and IT operations management systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain ServiceNow ITSM and ITOM applications to meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Develop custom applications and solutions within the ServiceNow platform using JavaScript and the ServiceNow API.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ServiceNow applications and integrations.
• Ensure compliance with best practices and security standards in all development work.
• Provide ongoing support and training for users to optimize the utilization of ServiceNow services.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in ServiceNow development, particularly in ITSM and ITOM areas.
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow modules and capabilities.
• Proficiency in scripting with JavaScript and familiarity with ServiceNow’s proprietary languages.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and how they are integrated into ServiceNow.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred Skills

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or equivalent certification.
• Experience with third-party integrations and APIs.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies and operational best practices.

Experience

• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in ServiceNow development, with a focus on ITSM and ITOM.
