Job Summary
The AS400/iSeries Developer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting applications on the AS400/iSeries platform. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of software solutions that meet business requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain applications using AS400/iSeries technologies including RPG IV, RPG Free, and COBOL.
- Analyze, design, and implement software solutions throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Debug and troubleshoot existing AS400 applications to resolve issues and improve performance.
- Work with AS400 file structures, subfiles, data queues, and message queues to ensure efficient data processing.
- Implement job scheduling and manage job control processes to optimize application performance.
- Conduct system analysis and participate in testing phases to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in AS400/iSeries development.
- Strong proficiency in Synon, RPG IV, RPG Free, CL, COBOL, DB2/400, and SQL.
- Experience with AS400 file structures, subfiles, data queues, message queues, and job scheduling.
- Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience in system analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation.
- Proficient in debugging and troubleshooting AS400 applications.
