Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality of products through a robust testing strategy and adherence to quality assurance standards. This position is essential for the development lifecycle, contributing to the identification and resolution of quality issues, while continuously improving testing processes and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and define comprehensive test strategies and test plans that include functional and non-functional test cases, ensuring alignment with customer specifications and requirements.
• Attend specification and architecture reviews, offering constructive feedback on potential impacts, risks, and gaps.
• Design and execute test cases, preparing the necessary test environments and test data while providing go/no-go decisions based on defined exit criteria.
• Implement and manage defect tracking processes, opening defects, assigning severity levels, and verifying defect fixes.
• Communicate testing activities and progress to stakeholders, including software developers and product analysts, providing visibility on testing campaigns and milestones.
• Mentor new team members and provide guidance to peers based on expertise.

Qualifications

• Technical Skills: Proficient in test automation, specifically with frameworks relevant to the company, and an expert in backend testing.
• Programming Languages: Strong programming capabilities in Python or similar languages.
• API Testing: Extensive experience in API testing methodologies and practices.
• Tools Proficiency: Familiarity with tools like PostMan and willingness to adapt to various QA tooling stacks.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Certifications: Familiarity with quality assurance standards and best practices, such as ISTQB certification, is preferred.
• Education: A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is highly preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) guidelines and Green IT practices.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, particularly the SAFE development framework.

Experience

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance or a related field is preferred, with proven expertise in software testing and defect management.
