Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
P&L Ownership & Strategic Planning
- Own and manage the end-to-end e-commerce P&L — across D2C website and marketplaces.
-
Set and deliver on monthly/quarterly revenue goals, contribution margins, and AOV/ROAS benchmarks.
-
Collaborate closely with founders, marketing, supply chain, and finance teams on forecasting and planning.
Marketplace Management & Growth
-
Lead and scale performance across platforms like Amazon, Nykaa, Flipkart, etc.
-
Build strong relationships with category managers, negotiate terms, and drive visibility.
-
Optimize for organic growth, promotions, and channel-specific strategies.
Data-led Decision Making
-
Use data to track funnel metrics (traffic, conversions, repeat rate, CAC, etc.) and make strategic decisions.
-
Run channel-level experiments to improve retention, LTV, and order frequency.
-
Set up dashboards and automate reporting for team visibility and faster actions.
Team & Stakeholder Management
-
Manage and mentor a lean team of 2–4 people across operations, performance marketing, and content.
-
Collaborate with product, brand, and tech teams to ensure smooth execution of campaigns and launches.
-
Lead with ownership and clarity — you’re not just executing, you're building and scaling.
Brand-First Execution
-
Ensure all e-commerce touchpoints align with the brand voice and consumer promise.
-
Bring creativity to promotions, storytelling, and product launches — especially on D2C.
-
Constantly benchmark competitors and adjacent categories for inspiration and edge.
Who We’re Looking For:
-
5–8 years of experience in brand-side e-commerce roles.
-
Prior experience in scaling personal care / wellness / beauty / D2C brands.
-
Open to those who’ve also worked in electronics, wellness, or healthcare categories — as long as it's from within a brand, not an agency.
-
Proven experience in managing marketplaces, scaling D2C websites, and owning revenue goals.
-
Strong decision-making ability — you know when to zoom into the weeds and when to step back.
-
You’ve led small teams before and know how to get the best out of them.
-
High ownership, hustle, and bias for solving problems proactively.
