Job Summary

The Analyst I Finance Business Partner plays a crucial role in supporting financial decision-making within the organization. This position is responsible for performing financial analyses, managing budgets, and ensuring accurate financial reporting, which contributes to the overall financial health and strategic goals of the company.

Responsibilities

• Develop a clear understanding of Revenue Recognition concepts and contract terms.
• Manage costs through accruals, prepaids, and journal postings, ensuring a thorough understanding of each entry.
• Conduct margin analysis and identify opportunities for improvements.
• Analyze unbilled amounts and deferrals to maintain accurate financial records.
• Perform financial analyses including budgeting, trend analysis, forecasting, and financial modeling, providing actionable recommendations based on findings.
• Collect and interpret budget and midyear forecast data, summarizing and uploading this information into financial systems for profit and loss reporting.
• Analyze financial information and recommend corrections for any inconsistencies to management.
• Develop and maintain financial statements using accounting and budgeting software, ensuring timely reporting to management and the corporate office.
• Prepare, analyze, and publish monthly financial rolling forecasts with detailed insights for management and corporate review.
• Ensure the integrity of accounting and budgeting software systems by checking for errors and inconsistencies.

Qualifications

• Educational Qualifications: CA Intermediate, CMA, M.Com, or MBA in Finance.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting.
• Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills, proficiency in accounting and budgeting software.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of financial modeling techniques.
• Familiarity with financial reporting standards and regulations.

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably in a business partner capacity.
