As the Head of Warehousing and Logistics, the ideal candidate would be responsible for delivering the following key    responsibilities:

1. Optimize Warehouse Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient use of space, labour, and resources while maintaining safety standards.

2. Strategic Inventory Management: Develop and implement inventory control procedures to minimize stock shortages and excesses, optimizing inventory turnover and accuracy.

3. Streamline Logistics and Distribution: Manage the transportation and distribution processes, optimizing routes, carrier relationships, and delivery schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.

4. Implement Technology Solutions: Evaluate and introduce technological advancements such as warehouse management systems (WMS) or RFID to enhance tracking, efficiency, and accuracy in inventory management.

5. Cost Control and Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for warehousing and logistics operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality or service levels.

6. Lead and Develop Teams: Build and lead a high-performing team, providing guidance, mentorship, and training to optimize performance and achieve departmental goals.

7. Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) and implementing best practices to enhance overall warehouse and logistics performance.

8. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, production, sales, and other relevant departments to ensure seamless operations and alignment with company goals.

9. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices, mitigating risks and maintaining a secure working environment.

10. Reporting and Analysis: Generate and present regular reports on warehouse and logistics performance, highlighting areas for improvement and proposing actionable solutions.
