Site Reliability Engineer

Job Summary

The Site Reliability Engineer is responsible for providing technical support for applications, ensuring their optimal performance, and resolving issues that may arise during use. This role is crucial in maintaining service levels and ensuring user satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for applications in a production environment, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  • Monitor application performance using monitoring tools and implement corrective measures when necessary.
  • Collaborate with development teams to address and resolve application-related incidents.
  • Document and maintain records of application issues and their resolutions.
  • Ensure compliance with ITIL processes to maintain service quality and performance standards.
  • Assist in the deployment and configuration of applications in the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in either .Net or Java programming languages.
  • Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server for database management.
  • Experience with ITIL processes to ensure efficient IT service management.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools to assess application performance.
  • Excellent communication skills to relay complex technical information clearly.
  • A 4-year technical degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is an advantage.
  • Experience with application or production support is preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years and maximum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in application or production support.

Environment

  • Work Mode: Hybrid (3 days in the office per week).
  • Shifts/Work Timings: The work schedule includes rotation between shifts: 5:30 AM to 2:30 PM, 11:30 AM to 8:30 AM, and 6:30 PM to 3:30 AM every two weeks.
  • Notice Period: Immediate joiner preferred.
