Job Summary

The Business Development Manager – Architects, Interior Designers & Corporate is responsible for driving B2B growth by establishing and nurturing relationships with the Architect and Interior Design community, as well as Corporate and Institutional clients. The role involves identifying new project opportunities, generating qualified leads, presenting product solutions, and managing the entire sales cycle from lead generation to order closure and payment collection. The manager will play a key role in expanding the company's footprint within the architectural and corporate sectors, ensuring The Sleep Company’s products are specified and integrated into relevant projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Architects, Interior Designers, Design Studios, and Project Consultants.
  • Build a robust network of new Architects and Interior Designers within the assigned territory.
  • Identify upcoming residential, commercial, hospitality, office, healthcare, and institutional projects.
  • Understand project requirements and identify opportunities for products such as mattresses, chairs, recliners, sofas, desks, workstations, and other TSC offerings.
  • Conduct regular meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations for Architects and Interior Designers.
  • Generate project leads through market visits, networking, industry events, references, and industry associations.
  • Develop and maintain an Architect/Interior Designer database, ensuring regular engagement with key accounts.
  • Track projects from initial design and specification stages through procurement and final execution.
  • Ensure The Sleep Company’s products are specified, shortlisted, and included in project requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams for samples, quotations, product specifications, commercial proposals, and order execution.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, business development, or account management, preferably within the architecture, interior design, or corporate sectors.
  • Strong understanding of project sales cycles and procurement processes.
  • Excellent relationship-building and networking skills.
  • Ability to conduct effective presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Knowledge of the architecture, interior design, and construction industry.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
  • Educational qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Architecture, Interior Design, or related fields.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Prior experience working with architects, interior designers, or corporate clients.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and industry-specific software.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and identify new business opportunities.
  • Multilingual skills relevant to the regional markets.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to business development.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in B2B sales, business development, or client relationship management within the architecture, interior design, or corporate sectors.
  • Experience in handling large projects and managing key accounts is preferred.

Environment

The role involves a combination of in-office work and extensive field visits within the assigned territory. The candidate will regularly meet with architects, interior designers, project consultants, corporate procurement teams, and other decision-makers. The work environment is dynamic, requiring adaptability, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
