Job Summary

The Information Technology (IT) Enterprise Architect plays a crucial role in overseeing a portfolio of projects and operations related to architecture. This position is responsible for ensuring that both system and solution architecture work together effectively to maximize service delivery, aligning IT systems with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Alignment: Ensure IT systems and processes align with the organization’s business strategy and objectives.
  • Architecture Development:
    • Design, develop, and maintain the enterprise architecture, including data, applications, integrations, infrastructure, and security.
    • Engage in hands-on development (60% of the role).
    • Utilize Native Azure Services and SQL (preferably MS SQL Server), Azure DevOps, and No-SQL databases. Experience in React is highly preferred.
    • Build API, Event, and micro-services-based architecture and integrate COTS products/applications.
    • Collaborate with both offshore and onshore teams as well as onshore functional teams and vendors.
    • Function as a developer within a scrum team.
  • Road Mapping: Create and maintain a roadmap for evolving enterprise architecture, detailing future technology investments and initiatives.
  • Solution Design: Provide architectural guidance and oversight for projects and solutions, ensuring adherence to the enterprise architecture framework.
  • Governance: Establish and enforce architectural standards, policies, and best practices.
  • Technology Evaluation: Assess new and emerging technologies to determine their impact on the enterprise architecture.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Work with stakeholders, including business leaders and IT teams, to communicate architectural decisions and maintain alignment.
  • Change Management: Lead changes to the enterprise architecture with minimal disruption to business operations.

Qualifications

  • Technical Expertise: Proficient in Microsoft .NET with a strong understanding of IT infrastructure (hardware, software, networks, and security).
  • Architectural Methodologies: Experience with architectural frameworks and methodologies, such as TOGAF.
  • Business Acumen: Understanding of business strategy, processes, and goals.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Leadership and Influence: Capability to lead and persuade teams and stakeholders in adopting new technologies and processes.
  • Experience: Typically requires several years in IT roles, encompassing systems management and business plan implementation.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with various architectural frameworks.
  • Previous experience in leading enterprise-level technology projects.
