Job description: Director - Technical Research

The Director of Technical Research role will set direction, role, and activities to identify opportunities of research and other product offerings that meet the investment needs of our clients.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyse and closely track equities, indices, bonds, commodities and currencies using technical tools.
• Arrive at high conviction trading strategies on cash and FO segments with the aim of delivering alpha to the customers
• Effectively communicate the trade calls to the customers at large and the distributed wealth management team
• Creating detailed Research Reports with market outlook and recommendations
• Participate and contribute in client meeting and conference calls as needed.
• Maintain research registry along with logs of recommendations developed
• Continuous monitoring of recommendation strike rate with an objective to achieve industry-leading rates.
• Develop written SOPs and process manuals to ensure scalability of the function.

Job Requirements Competencies:

• MBA and/or CFA professional designation.
• Must have 10+ years of experience as a technical analyst
• Strong research background across technical and quantitative analysis
• Prior research experience with Indian equities (all capitalizations) is essential
• In depth understanding of charts is a pre-requisite
• Proven experience in developing and implementing effective project management and processes.
• Must have experience preparing presentation quality documents and executive level summaries.
• Ability to work successfully across organizational lines and influence outcomes.
  Strong Microsoft Excel skills
