Job Summary

The role focuses on driving key initiatives that support the developer workflow from Pull Request (PR) to release. The candidate will innovate and deliver technical solutions while collaborating with partner engineering teams, monitoring developer performance, and advocating engineering perspectives.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive key initiatives supporting the developer workflow from PR to release.
• Innovate and deliver technical solutions.
• Collaborate with partner engineering teams for inputs, support, and guidance.
• Monitor, review, and coach developer performance; conduct regular performance appraisals and provide disciplinary actions.
• Document technical solutions and articulate them to both business and technical audiences.
• Present, communicate, and advocate engineering perspectives.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and show ownership of work throughout the sprint process.

Qualifications

• Technical Skills:
  • Backend development expertise in Node.js (5+ years experience)
  • Proficiency in GraphQL (3+ years experience)
  • Familiarity with AWS (Lambda/S3/ECS/RDS) and Infrastructure as Code
  • Experience with Redis and PostgreSQL
  • Competency in Unit Testing, Functional Testing, and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
  • Proficient in TypeScript
• Soft Skills:
  • Fluent in English

Preferred Skills

• Experience with:
  • Terraform
  • Kafka
  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes
  • DynamoDB
  • React.js
  • Elixir
  • Rust

Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in backend development, particularly with Node.js and associated technologies.

Environment

The work is positioned in a hybrid setting based in Bangalore, combining both remote and on-site responsibilities. The candidate is expected to engage in Agile practices including daily stand-ups and sprint retrospectives.
