Job Summary
The Manager – NSDM (National Sales Development Manager) is responsible for enhancing the sales performance of the organization through comprehensive training programs, performance management, and strategic implementation of sales processes. Responsibilities
- Design and Rollout Training Modules: Create and implement training programs for Sales Officers (SOs), Area Sales Managers (ASMs), and the frontline field force, covering induction, functional processes, and refresher training.
- Conduct Capability Gap Analysis: Collaborate with Human Resources (HR) and Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) to identify skill deficits and develop solutions.
- Implement Coaching Tools: Establish structured on-the-job coaching methods and tracking mechanisms to support sales staff development.
- Drive Sales KPIs: Own and oversee key sales performance indicators (KPIs) such as distribution, call productivity, strike rate, and billing efficiency through data-driven reviews.
- Standardize Sales Processes: Develop and maintain standardized Sales Operating Processes (SOPs) across various zones and regions to ensure consistency.
- Support Sales Execution Excellence: Audit and design execution standards that enhance in-store visibility and performance through programs and audits.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: MBA in Sales or Marketing from a reputed institution.
- Work Experience: 8-12 years of experience in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sales sector, with a minimum of 3-4 years in capability-building or sales development roles.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Go-To-Market (GTM) operations, field realities, and sales automation tools.
Preferred Skills
- Understanding of digital sales management systems.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders effectively.
Experience
- A minimum of 8-12 years of FMCG sales experience is required, with significant experience in capability development roles.
