Senior Analyst 1 Infrastructure Services

Job Summary

The Senior Analyst 1 Infrastructure Services plays a critical role in the setup, configuration, and management of WebSphere Liberty and WebSphere Application Server environments. This position is essential for ensuring the performance, availability, and security of WebSphere applications, contributing to the overall efficiency and compliance of the organization's IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Set up and configure WebSphere Application Server (WAS) installations, including WebSphere Liberty and Application Server Base.
• Manage software installation and configuration of WebSphere Liberty, including creating JVMs, data sources, and JMS connections.
• Troubleshoot and analyze issues related to WebSphere Liberty and WebSphere Application Server, providing 24x7 on-call support as needed.
• Monitor the performance and availability of WebSphere applications, ensuring compliance with corporate policies.
• Apply WebSphere Fix Pack patches and configure WAS plug-ins to enhance application performance.
• Collaborate with helpdesk, development, and networking teams to resolve application-related issues and document procedures for escalation and outage resolution.

Qualifications

• Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in WebSphere Liberty, Application Server Base, and Network Deployment (WAS ND).
  • Experience with Linux/Unix and Windows environments.
  • Knowledge of WebSphere MQ, IBM HTTP Server, IIS, and Apache server.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP network protocols and load balancers.
  • Familiarity with analyzing heap issues using IBM Garbage Collection and Memory Visualizer.
  • Hands-on experience with WebSphere Liberty and WebSphere Application Server on multiple platforms.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work under pressure, both in a team and individually.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with analyzing GC logs and heap dumps using various tools.
• Familiarity with JAAS authentication aliases and JDBC Providers.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in managing and configuring WebSphere environments.

Environment

• Work setting is hybrid, with opportunities to work from home and in the office. Locations include Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, Noida, and Gurugram.

Salary

• Estimated salary range: ₹2,400,000 per annum.
