Product Engineering Manager

3. Key Roles

The Product Engineering Manager is responsible for generating complete specification sheets and process flows for all products. Coordination with the production, quality and other teams is important to take all variables into account when charting the flow.

4. Main Responsibility (Describe Main Responsibility and Specify Objectives)

1. Manage the Product Engineering (PE) / Manufacturing Engineering (ME) project team, providing training, guidance, and promoting process improvements.
2. Lead the team in developing new products and conducting material research and testing.
3. Participate in analyzing and resolving quality issues within team projects.
4. Oversee the research, development, and analysis of major projects.
5. Utilize tools such as FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), CPK (Process Capability Index), and DOE (Design of Experiments) to analyze and address technical challenges.

5. Qualification/ Experience/ Skills

Education:

• College degree or higher

Experience:

• At least 8 years of work experience in product engineering; experience in the printing/packaging industry is preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

• Skilled in using tools like FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), CPK (Process Capability Index), and DOE (Design of Experiments).
• Strong expertise in statistical data analysis.
• Proficient in reading and writing in English.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledgeable about printing and binding processes, as well as equipment capacity.
• Familiar with international safety standards for materials.
