Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Job Scheduler Specialist with strong expertise in Control-M or Autosys to manage, monitor, and optimize batch scheduling and job automation processes. The ideal candidate will collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to ensure smooth business operations by designing, implementing, and troubleshooting job scheduling workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain batch job schedules using Control-M or Autosys.
• Monitor daily batch cycles, troubleshoot job failures, and ensure timely resolution of incidents.
• Implement automation solutions to optimize batch processing and reduce manual intervention.
• Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to onboard new workflows and schedules.
• Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and enhancements of job scheduling environments.
• Maintain job documentation, scheduling standards, and operational runbooks.
• Provide support during production outages, root cause analysis, and preventive actions.
• Participate in on-call rotation for production support.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Control-M or Autosys job scheduling tools.
• Strong understanding of batch job lifecycle, dependencies, and workload automation.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux shell scripting and/or Windows scripting for job automation.
• Knowledge of SQL for querying and validating data within jobs.
• Experience in troubleshooting job failures, log analysis, and debugging issues.
• Good knowledge of incident, problem, and change management processes (ITIL framework).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills

• Additional familiarity with other job scheduling tools.
• Experience with cloud-based environments and scheduling.
• Knowledge of scripting languages beyond shell scripting.
