API Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled API Developer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable API code. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to improve the functionality and performance of APIs, contributing to the overall success of the organization’s technical operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust APIs to support various applications.
• Collaborate with front-end and back-end developers to integrate user-facing elements using APIs.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of APIs.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in API development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in API development and management.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
• Strong understanding of RESTful principles and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or Swagger.
• Familiarity with cloud services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture.
• Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes.

Experience

Minimum of 5 years of experience in API development or a related field.

Environment

This is a full-time position based in Chennai. The work environment is dynamic and collaborative, requiring the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Salary

The estimated salary range for this position is 2,400,000 - 2,800,000 per annum.
