Overview of the Role As an Associate in the Portfolio Monitoring team (currently a diverse team of 7+), you will play a pivotal role across finance, portfolio data and investment performance for EQT Private Capital Asia’s private equity investments. You will work closely with investment teams and various central functions to ensure high‑quality, timely portfolio reporting and analysis, and to develop a deep understanding of each company’s performance, value creation initiatives and key growth drivers. The Portfolio Monitoring team directly contributes to a majority of high stakes critical investment performance reporting for the Asia Business line to EQT Group. The role is dynamic and highly collaborative, involving frequent interaction with stakeholders across functions and geographies. Key Responsibilities • Monitor and manage the reporting of financial and operational data for EQT Asia portfolio company investments, including summarizing and analyzing financial performance and key operational metrics, and building a deep understanding of each company’s value creation plan and growth drivers; • Support investments teams and portfolio company management in preparing for periodic discussions with EQT Asia's Portfolio Performance Review Committee; • Contribute to periodic portfolio monitoring team projects such as business review meetings, investor presentations, industry sectors review, ad hoc special portfolio risk reviews (e.g., COVID19, recession scenarios), fundraising materials, etc.; • Build and maintain strong working relationships with investment teams across different Asian markets (and other regions where relevant) to facilitate smooth and effective communication and ensure timely monthly reporting, analysis and data collection for portfolio companies; and • Work closely with other Portfolio Monitoring team members to continuously improve processes, workflows and reporting, with a strong focus on digital tools and automation Ideal Experience • 3–5 years of experience in finance, accounting, private equity, funds or investments • FP&A, Big 4 and/or transaction advisory experience strongly preferred • Native fluency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills • Well‑rounded and humble team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with diverse stakeholders • Proven ability to quickly understand different industries and business models and to process and synthesize information efficiently • Highly detail‑oriented, structured and results‑driven, with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills • Solid Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with iLevels, Power BI or other data visualization tools, and familiarity with Anaplan and/or basic programming, is an advantage • Tech‑savvy mindset with a proactive approach to AI and automation, including leveraging data analytics and AI tools to enhance financial insights, reporting and forecasting Inclusion at EQT Our vision for EQT employees is to build high performing and engaged teams.
