Job Summary

The Backend Engineer will be responsible for developing scalable and robust backend applications using FastAPI and Python. This role focuses on implementing data structures and algorithms, as well as developing REST APIs and managing database interactions with PostgreSQL and Redis. The position offers the flexibility of remote work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using FastAPI and Python.
• Implement and optimize data structures and algorithms to enhance application performance.
• Integrate and manage REST APIs to enable seamless communication between frontend and backend systems.
• Utilize PostgreSQL and Redis for efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Deploy and manage applications on Google Cloud to ensure high availability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Python, with a minimum of 3+ years of work experience.
• Basic knowledge of data structures and algorithms in Python.
• Hands-on experience with developing and consuming REST APIs.
• Familiarity with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Experience with caching solutions such as Redis.
• Understanding of cloud platforms, especially Google Cloud.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with additional frameworks or languages relevant to backend development.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
• Knowledge of frontend technologies could be an advantage.

Experience

• At least 3+ years of experience in backend development, primarily focusing on Python and associated frameworks.
