Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Marketing Head to help us build our brand awareness and drive user adoption and preference within the category. You’ll work across all levels and departments of our organization to find what make us unique and communicate it to the world. As a high growth startup having both online and offline presence, you would have the first-hand experience of drafting brand & creative guidelines and build positioning by driving narratives amongst the right target audiences via online and offline campaigns. You would be a key person to manage the agencies- both offline, online (digital) and creatives to ensure smooth flow of operations and campaign execution. You’ll need to have an understanding of consumer buying behaviours; customer personas along with a deep understanding in full-funnel marketing. You will be contributing significantly to build a strong brand with a great value proposition and to achieve B2C as well as omnichannel business goals.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities
Communicate our Brand Positioning and mission to the right target audiences and developing the communications strategies for The Sleep Company and delivering the same through ATL/BTL channels.
Translate brand elements into plans and build go-to-market strategies and creative narratives.
Collaborate with other team members working on growth and marketing initiatives.
Measure and assess results of brand marketing campaigns and drive brand KPIs and influence mind measures for the brand across channels.
Monitor market trends, research consumer markets and competitors’ activities, New Product Development & devise innovative growth branding strategies.
Build Brand guidelines and Brand positioning and be the brand custodian across both offline and online marketing channels.
Developing channel plans -
- Identify across Online & Offline mediums to understand avenues for branding.
- Develop channel level plans & budget allocation for the same
- Recommend innovative avenues for brand growth both D2C and omnichannel
- Building and designing brand campaigns inhouse and work with agencies to lock communications and narratives.
Brand communication-
- Brand communication is key, this role would require an in-depth exercise to build brand positioning in the market.
- Create brand guidelines, and ensure those guidelines are followed across all other internal functions.
Offline activations and Vendor relationship-
- Activating Offline channels & integrations, this would be a large part of this mandate. Understanding effective mix versus online channels would be key.
- Coordination & maintaining vendor relationship and ensuring output from the agency/vendor.
Partnerships & Collaboration-
- Partnerships – Reach out, build partnerships for brands to Manage brand alliances & associations
- Work with the marketing & content marketing team to ensure seamless integration
Qualification & Requirements
- Graduate or Postgraduate, MBA preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in core Brand & marketing communication. D2C brand experience is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of brand marketing, Offline activations & an understanding of consumer behaviour and campaign design and communications.
- Excellent communication skills – Written & verbal.
- Proven working experience as Brand/Marketing Manager
- Proven ability to work on brand and marketing strategies and communicate recommendations
- Experience in identifying target audiences and devising effective campaigns
- Excellent understanding of the full marketing mix
- A creative mind geared towards problem solving
- Up-to-date with latest trends and marketing best practices
- Strong creative vision with an understanding of business objectives
