About the Role

We’re looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our engineering team and take Zoca’s technology to the next level. As CTO, you'll be responsible for building scalable systems, shaping our product roadmap, and driving innovation in AI-powered marketing automation.

This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who can balance strategic vision with deep technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Technology Vision & Roadmap – Define and execute the technology strategy, aligning with our business goals.
✅ Scalability & Performance – Design and optimize backend architecture for high performance, reliability, and scale.
✅ AI & Automation – Leverage AI and automation to enhance our Marketing OS and future product expansion.
✅ Team Leadership – Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team.
✅ Cross-functional Collaboration – Work closely with product, growth, and operations teams to drive seamless execution.
✅ Security & Compliance – Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across all systems.
✅ Hands-on Development – Be comfortable coding when necessary, guiding architecture decisions, and reviewing key technical implementations.

What We’re Looking For

🔹 7+ years of experience in backend development and system architecture.
🔹 Expertise in TypeScript, Nx, NestJS, Fastify (strong preference).
🔹 Deep experience with PostgreSQL, caching mechanisms, and cloud platforms (AWS).
🔹 Proven track record of building scalable, distributed systems.
🔹 Strong knowledge of RESTful API design, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
🔹 Prior experience in leading engineering teams and defining product roadmaps.
🔹 Passion for empowering small businesses and AI-driven automation.
