Job Summary

As a Technical Lead with a backend focus, you will own the architecture, execution, and technical direction of one or more critical platform domains. Your leadership will drive the scaling, optimization, and evolution of systems that power Vidyut's lending and financing products, ultimately contributing to the company's mission in the electric mobility space.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical vision for your domain, defining architecture evolution, setting engineering standards, and making build-vs-buy decisions.
• Scale the loan ledger system to ensure accurate tracking of disbursements, repayments, interest accruals, and settlements with double-entry precision.
• Enhance the collections infrastructure by implementing AI-driven prioritization and optimizing multi-channel collection strategies.
• Improve the real-time credit decisioning engine and underwriting processes by integrating new data sources and refining risk models.
• Expand AI/ML capabilities across the stack, including intelligent document processing and predictive models.
• Manage and scale a platform for multi-NBFC integration and ledger maintenance, ensuring accurate loan tape generation and reconciliation.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 4+ years of production-level experience in Java, Python, Go, Node.js, or a similar language.
• Proven experience leading multi-engineer projects from design through delivery and production operations.
• Deep expertise in building and operating large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience with service-oriented or microservices architectures in production.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), containerization (Docker), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong system design fundamentals including sharding, replication, and load balancing.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and conduct effective code/design reviews.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in fintech, lending, payments, or financial services platforms.
• Familiarity with loan management systems (LMS), ledger/accounting systems, or collections platforms.
• Background in building or integrating with AI/ML systems.
• Experience with multi-lender or co-lending platform architectures.

Experience

• Minimum of 4 years in a technical role with a focus on backend development and system architecture.
