Analyst 1 Infrastructure Services

Job Summary

The Analyst 1 Infrastructure Services role is designed to support the infrastructure services team by leveraging technical expertise in Linux environments and cloud technologies. This position is critical in ensuring the performance, availability, and reliability of infrastructure services, contributing to the overall goals of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux services such as NTP, SMTP, BIND, and Apache on cloud-deployed instances.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting on Linux distributions including RedHat, SUSE, and Ubuntu.
• Manage server consolidation and virtualization for hardware reduction and site migrations via V2V and P2V.
• Implement and administer components in a large environment, including vCenter, VMware Update Manager, and vCenter Site Recovery Manager.
• Provide proactive ticketing workflow and queue management to ensure timely execution of tasks.
• Collaborate with vendors for the implementation of new servers, adhering to bank-standard build and QA processes.

Qualifications

• Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in Linux server scripting (Shell/Perl) and automation technologies.
  • Knowledge of enterprise storage concepts and architecture, specifically 3PAR Technology.
  • Experience with network tools such as iptables and Linux IPVS.
  • Familiarity with Redhat Satellite server and Nagios Monitoring Fusion and XI server.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud technologies and services.
• Knowledge of performance tuning and high availability strategies for infrastructure.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years in a role delivering infrastructure services, with a focus on Linux environments and cloud technologies.
