Wintel Engineer – VMware & AWS Specialist

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Wintel Engineer with strong experience in Windows Server administration, VMware virtualization, and Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting Windows-based infrastructure across both on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring system reliability, performance, and security.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows Server environments (2012/2016/2019/2022).
• Manage VMware vSphere infrastructure including ESXi hosts, vCenter, and virtual machines.
• Design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, etc.).
• Perform system upgrades, patching, and performance tuning.
• Automate routine tasks using PowerShell or other scripting tools.
• Monitor system health and troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
• Implement backup, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure and application needs.
• Maintain documentation and follow ITIL-based change management processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in Windows Server administration.
• 3+ years of experience with VMware vSphere and ESXi.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services.
• Strong PowerShell scripting skills.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Certified SysOps Administrator / Solutions Architect
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate

Experience

• 8-10 years of relevant experience in Wintel engineering, focusing on Windows Server, VMware, and AWS environments.

Environment

• This position is based in Bangalore and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment, interacting with both independent and cross-functional teams.
