Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer proficient in Shell Scripting, Python, Java, and SQL databases to join our team. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development, deployment, and maintenance of scalable infrastructure and automation pipelines, ensuring efficient and reliable software delivery. This role supports the organization’s goals by enhancing system performance, reliability, and observability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell Scripting, Python, and Java.
• Manage and optimize SQL databases such as Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, or DynamoDB.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Groovy, Jenkins, JenkinsCore, and Urbancode Deploy.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate Node.js and Angular applications into deployment workflows.
• Utilize AWS compute and storage services, including AWS Lambda and S3, to support cloud infrastructure.
• Implement and monitor observability solutions using tools such as Splunk, Datadog, Catchpoint, and manage Service Level Indicators (SLI) and Service Level Objectives (SLO).

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Shell Scripting, Python, and Java programming languages.
• Strong knowledge of SQL databases including Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, or DynamoDB.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools such as Groovy, Jenkins, JenkinsCore, and Urbancode Deploy.
• Familiarity with cloud services, particularly AWS Lambda and S3.
• Understanding of container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Skills in observability tools including Splunk, Datadog, Catchpoint, and SLI/SLO management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Node.js and Angular frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with AWS compute and storage services.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes container orchestration.
• Familiarity with additional observability and monitoring tools.
• Experience in automating infrastructure and deployments in hybrid environments.

Experience

• Relevant experience in DevOps engineering or related roles.
• Proven track record working with automation, cloud services, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in hybrid work environments is advantageous.
