To perform risk management by analysing the organization’s liabilities and investments
To decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks
To control and evaluate the organization’s fundraising plans and capital structure
To ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization’s operations
To supervise all finance personnel (controllers, treasurers etc.)
To manage vendor relationships
To prepare reliable current and forecasting reports
To set up and oversee the company’s finance IT system
To ensure compliance with the law and company’s policies
To manage team of financial controllers and financial analysts
ACQUISITIONS:
To lead the team from a due diligence perspective for any new acquisition / M&A
To ensure that seller representations and warranties are backed by facts and data and are
thoroughly analysed before proposing it to the management
To ensure post-transaction monitoring and reconciliation for performance and representations
FUND-RAISING:
To be involved in drafting, examining and ensuring a paper trail for all agreements and legal documents to be in a state of readiness to accept funds from either an institutional or retail investor

Leadership Skills – Chief Financial Officer should be able to manage an Organization by successfully coordinating staff, resources, and implementing policies effectively, so strong leadership skills are vital to this position
Time Management – Chief Financial Officer works on various tasks at once and needs to be self-motivated, as often they are completing these tasks under their own direction. Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks is vital to ensure goals are met
