Intern – Communications, Social Media & Research

Job Summary

The Intern – Communications, Social Media & Research will support the organization’s communication strategies by managing social media platforms, conducting academic research, and assisting with content creation. This role is ideal for individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in digital communications, social media management, and research within a dynamic environment. The internship aims to enhance the organization's online presence and provide valuable insights through research and content initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and update social media accounts with engaging content.
  • Design visually appealing graphics using Canva Pro for various digital campaigns.
  • Conduct academic and market research to support ongoing projects.
  • Edit and produce short-form videos for social platforms.
  • Assist in growing the organization’s LinkedIn network and fostering professional connections.
  • Monitor and analyze social media metrics to optimize performance.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Canva Pro for graphic design and content creation.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, especially LinkedIn.
  • Ability to conduct thorough academic and internet-based research.
  • Basic video editing skills with familiar editing software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Media, or a related field (preferred, not mandatory).

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with social media analytics tools.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS).
  • Creative thinking and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience in community engagement or digital outreach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience

  • Minimum Experience: 1 year (open to freshers and students).
  • Relevant experience in social media management, communications, research, or digital content creation is a plus.
