Job Summary
The Head of Human Resources will be responsible for leading and shaping the HR function across the organization, including the corporate office and manufacturing plants. The role focuses on building and strengthening the company's organizational culture during a period of rapid growth. The incumbent will oversee talent acquisition, HR business partnering, employee engagement, retention, and overall HR leadership, ensuring alignment with business objectives and fostering a high-performance work environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies that support the company's growth and cultural objectives.
- Lead talent acquisition efforts to attract and retain top talent across all levels, including building leadership and functional talent pipelines.
- Act as a strategic HR business partner to senior management and plant leadership, translating business priorities into effective people strategies.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Oversee HR operations for both corporate and manufacturing plant locations, including employee relations, compliance, and HR policies.
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of HR professionals, building a strong HR team and operating structure.
- Facilitate regular virtual and limited on-site visits to manufacturing plants, approximately once a year per plant.
- Collaborate on organizational development initiatives to support scaling and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience with exposure to both Plant HR and Corporate HR functions.
- Proven leadership skills with a strong presence and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Experience in manufacturing, consumer, or high-growth environments preferred.
- Expertise in talent acquisition, employee engagement, HR strategy, and HR operations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, make strategic decisions, and influence stakeholders.
- Educational qualifications: Bachelor's degree required; additional HR certifications preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in manufacturing environments.
- Ability to manage a diverse employee base (~250 on-roll + ~250 contractual employees).
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Proficiency in virtual communication tools and remote HR management.
- Cultural sensitivity and change management skills.
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant HR experience.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or FMCG/FMCD sectors is preferred.
- Demonstrated success in leading HR teams and implementing HR strategies at scale.
Environment
- The role is based in Juinagar, Navi Mumbai, with a hybrid work setup.
- The workweek is 6 days, with Saturdays generally being WFH for corporate teams.
- Limited travel to manufacturing plants, approximately once a year per plant.
- The environment involves managing HR across multiple locations, requiring adaptability and remote management skills.
Salary
- ₹30–50 LPA (depending on experience and qualifications).
