Job Summary

The Infrastructure Architect will play a crucial role in designing and implementing enterprise-grade infrastructure solutions across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. This position involves leading infrastructure projects, developing architecture blueprints, and ensuring that infrastructure aligns with business needs. The ideal candidate will be adept at modernizing systems and practices, contributing to CGI's goal of delivering innovative solutions that drive client success.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise-grade infrastructure solutions across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure architecture blueprints and documentation.
• Evaluate current systems and identify areas for improvement or modernization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with business and application needs.
• Lead infrastructure projects from concept to deployment, ensuring performance, scalability, and security.
• Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, data protection regulations, and disaster recovery protocols.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend adoption where beneficial.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field or higher.
• Experience: 10+ years in IT infrastructure design and architecture, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of networking, virtualization, storage, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.
  • Expertise in server architecture, storage solutions (SAN, NAS), and operating systems (Windows Server, Linux, Unix).
  • Hands-on experience with automation and orchestration tools like Ansible and PowerShell.

• Proven experience in delivering process efficiencies and improvements.
• Ability to build and maintain efficient working relationships with remote teams.
