Ensure steady availability of trained, placed, and active childcare workers
Drive smooth onboarding and clear role understanding post-training
Maintain high worker retention through welfare, support, and engagement
Uphold child safety, worker safety, and ethical compliance at all times
Monitor and improve worker performance through feedback and coaching
Resolve worker issues, grievances, and incidents quickly and fairly
Track worker outcomes and contribute to operational and impact reporting
Education

Bachelor’s in Science, Technology or Engineer / Bachelor’s in Arts, Economics or Business

Draft a Day-to-Day Operation Plan for 1 Child Center and a Mobilization and Placement Plan for 100 Child Workers. Including Workers, Materials, Process, and Risks.

Role Purpose
The Worker Lead/Manager is responsible for end-to-end worker lifecycle management from mobilisation support, onboarding post-training to retention, welfare, compliance and performance support. This role ensures that childcare workers feel supported, safe, and professionally managed once placed.
Key Responsibilities
Worker Onboarding & Lifecycle

Onboard trained childcare workers along with partner organisations, assist during training, post-certification into Hera’s workforce system

Maintain worker profiles, documentation, police verification records, and contracts
-
Explain roles, expectations, rights, and grievance mechanisms clearly to workers
Worker Welfare & Retention

Oversee experience leads work on regular check-ins (weekly/monthly / bi-monthly) with placed workers

Identify early signs of burnout, mismatch, or distress and intervene
-
Coordinate counselling, mediation, or re-placement when required
-
Track retention, dropouts, and reasons for attrition
Compliance & Safety

Ensure child safety protocols, workplace safety norms, and ethical guidelines are followed

Manage and support grievance redressal for workers (harassment, overwork, non-payment)
-
Escalate serious concerns to Head of Operations when needed
Performance Monitoring

Analyse feedback from employers / crèches on worker performance
-
Support improvement plans for workers struggling with expectations
-
Identify high-performing workers for advanced roles (senior worker, master trainer, social franchise-owner)
Data & Reporting

Maintain worker MIS: placement status, income progression, tenure
-
Contribute to impact reporting (retention %, income uplift, satisfaction scores)
Required Profile
Experience
-
3–6 years experience in workforce management, livelihoods, skilling, or HR operations
-
Experience working with women workers or informal sector preferred
Skills
-
Strong people management and counselling skills
-
High empathy with firmness
-
Comfortable with documentation, Excel/MIS, WhatsApp-based coordination
-
Ability to handle sensitive issues discreetly
