Service Now Developer

Job Summary

The Service Now Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions within the ServiceNow platform to support organizational processes and workflows. This role requires in-depth technical expertise to customize, configure, and enhance ServiceNow applications, ensuring they meet business requirements and align with best practices. The developer will play a vital part in delivering high-quality IT service management (ITSM) solutions that drive operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow applications and modules according to business needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions within ServiceNow.
  • Integrate ServiceNow with external systems and third-party tools as needed.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues within the ServiceNow environment.
  • Ensure platform stability, security, and scalability through best development and implementation practices.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation related to configurations, workflows, and integrations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with ServiceNow development and administration.
  • Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and ServiceNow scripting.
  • Strong understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and ServiceNow modules (e.g., Incident, Problem, Change, Asset Management).
  • Experience with ServiceNow integrations using APIs (REST/SOAP).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills

  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or System Administrator certification.
  • Experience with ServiceNow IT Operations Management (ITOM), IT Business Management (ITBM), or HR Service Delivery modules.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
  • Knowledge of security best practices within ServiceNow.
  • Experience with automated testing and deployment within the ServiceNow platform.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in ServiceNow development and administration.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing ServiceNow solutions for mid-to-large scale organizations.

Environment

  • The typical work setting may include remote, hybrid, or in-office environments (location not specified).
  • The role requires working closely with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and IT professionals.
  • Standard office hours with occasional extended hours to meet project deadlines.
