Job Summary

The Consultant MDM will be responsible for master data management across all geographies in scope, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial master data. This role is crucial for maintaining compliance with financial regulations and internal policies while driving process improvements and automation initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Master data management for all geographies, including maintaining financial master data such as general ledger accounts, cost centers, profit centers, tax codes, vendor master, material master, customer master, pricing, and product hierarchies.
  • Conduct periodic reconciliations of the organization's chart of accounts, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.
  • Ensure quality of master data and documentation of processes with other functional data owners to support ongoing maintenance and data integrity.
  • Conduct validation checks on data for the creation of Vendor, Customer, and Material Master to build robust processes.
  • Improve MDO Fuse workflows to enhance controls and approvals.
  • Train users and onboard them to MDO Fuse.
  • Initiate automation and standardization of processes across markets to enhance controls.
  • Generate reports and conduct data analysis to monitor master data quality, accuracy, compliance, and performance.
  • Assist in analyzing discrepancies and variances in master data, investigating root causes, and suggesting corrective actions.
  • Provide accurate and well-organized data during internal and external audits.
  • Assist in projects for SAP implementation in new SAP instances and plant codes creation.
  • Collaborate with the Master Data Manager and cross-functional teams to identify MDM process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Management, Computer Science, or a related field. A professional accounting designation or certification is a plus.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in using SAP S/4HANA is mandatory; familiarity with MDO Fuse and SAP MDM is a plus.
    • Familiarity with reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, QlikSense, Alteryx, or other data visualization platforms.
    • Excellent command of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
    • Working knowledge of basic accounting practices and financial reporting requirements.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Effective communication skills to interact with various stakeholders.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Team player with a proactive attitude towards process improvement.

Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency in additional languages such as Bahasa, Portuguese, or Spanish will be a plus.

Experience

  • 7 to 10 years of experience in master data management or a similar role within a finance or accounting function is required.
  • Experience in a financial shared services environment is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proven track record of process improvement and optimization initiatives within financial data management is advantageous.
