Job Summary

The DevOps role is critical in architecting, designing, and implementing server environments across development to production stages. The candidate will leverage strong Linux/Unix administration skills, cloud platform expertise, and automation tools to build secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure. This role supports complex web applications and microservices, ensuring robust monitoring, security, and operational excellence aligned with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement server environments from development through production.
• Automate and orchestrate infrastructure using tools such as Terraform, Packer, and Ansible.
• Manage and troubleshoot complex web applications or microservices involving databases, caching layers, external APIs, and content delivery networks.
• Build secure cloud environments following industry best practices, particularly on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Monitor application and infrastructure performance using tools like AppDynamics, Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk.
• Manage change and version control processes while balancing project, business-as-usual (BAU), and product roadmap priorities.
• Implement system hardening and maintain information security standards.
• Design and implement disaster recovery, load balancing, and high availability solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong background in Linux/Unix administration.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proficiency with automation and orchestration tools including Terraform, Packer, and Ansible.
• Experience with containerization using Docker.
• Programming or scripting skills in one or more of Perl, Python, Go, or Shell scripting.
• Working knowledge of key/value stores and database technologies (both SQL and NoSQL).
• Familiarity with application monitoring and content delivery systems such as Redis, NewRelic, Akamai, Fastly/Varnish, ELK stack, and Grafana.
• Basic understanding of networking and infrastructure setup in web hosting/delivery environments.
• Knowledge of system hardening and information security principles.
• Good understanding of change and version management.
• Strong accountability and ownership mindset.
• Experience in building secure cloud environments using industry best practices.
• Broad experience in web operations, including automation of server provisioning and cloud computing.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities including projects, BAU work, and product roadmaps.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as AppDynamics, Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk.
• Strong understanding and practical experience with disaster recovery, load balancing, and designing for high availability.
• Prior experience working with Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFC) or FinTech clients.

• Relevant experience in Linux/Unix administration, cloud infrastructure, automation, and web operations.
• Experience deploying and troubleshooting complex web applications or microservices.
• Experience managing secure cloud environments and implementing high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
