DevOps *Engineer/Architect (GCP)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer/Architect with 7–8 years of hands-on experience, specializing in Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will design, implement, and maintain scalable DevOps solutions in cloud-native environments. This role contributes to the organization’s goals by streamlining development and operations workflows and ensuring optimal performance and security across cloud infrastructures.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement CI/CD pipelines: Utilize GCP-native tools along with other DevOps technologies to create and maintain efficient deployment pipelines.
• Manage infrastructure as code: Use Terraform or comparable tools to handle infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
• Set up and maintain cloud infrastructure: Ensure environments are scalable, reliable, and high-performing.
• Monitor systems and troubleshoot issues: Continuously oversee performance and security, addressing any operational issues proactively.
• Collaborate with teams: Work closely with development and operations teams to streamline and enhance deployment processes.

Qualifications

• GCP Expertise: Strong experience with GCP components such as Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, GKE, IAM, and Cloud Storage.
• Infrastructure as Code: Proficient in using Terraform, Deployment Manager, or similar tools.
• CI/CD Experience: Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Cloud Build.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Expertise in Docker and Kubernetes.
• Scripting Skills: Proficiency in Bash, Python, or Go for automation and scripting.
• Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with tools like Prometheus, Stackdriver, etc.
• Networking & Security: Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, security best practices, and compliance requirements in cloud environments.
• Version Control: Experience with Git and related workflows (e.g., GitHub Actions).

Preferred Skills

• Certification: GCP certifications such as Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer or Cloud Architect are a plus.

Experience

• Years of Experience: 7–8 years of hands-on experience with a focus on DevOps practices and cloud-native environments.
• Relevant Experience: Demonstrable experience designing and managing scalable cloud infrastructures and CI/CD pipeline implementations.

Environment

• Work Setting: Options include remote, hybrid, or onsite at Pune or Gurgaon.
• Working Hours: Flexible working hours (11:00 AM – 8:30 PM or 12:00 PM – 9:30 PM IST).
• Contract Duration: 6 months with the potential to extend up to 1 year.
