Job Summary
The Data Engineer plays a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining data architectures and data management solutions. This role is instrumental in enabling efficient data flow across systems and ensuring high-quality data is available for decision-making processes within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Data Warehousing (DWH) architectures and target system designs.
- Design and maintain ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading using various tools.
- Build and optimize data pipelines and ingestion frameworks to handle data from heterogeneous systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and support business intelligence initiatives.
- Perform data modeling, focusing on dimensional, star schema, and snowflake designs.
- Utilize SQL for database development and ensure data integrity and performance.
Qualifications
- Experience: 8+ years in Data Warehousing, ETL Development, or Data Engineering.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of DWH architectures and design.
- Hands-on experience with at least one Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) such as Oracle, DB2, or SQL Server.
- Proficiency in SQL programming for database development.
- Solid experience in Data Modeling techniques.
- Hands-on experience with at least one ETL tool, such as Informatica, Talend, Pentaho, or SSIS.
- Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with Supply Chain Planning (OMP, S&OP, APO) and Finance tools (SAP, HFM).
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of finance planning tools, particularly Adaptive, and understanding related data flows.
Experience
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in data-related roles, particularly in data warehousing and data engineering.
