Job Summary
The Smart Comm Application Development role focuses on the design, development, integration, and maintenance of SmartCOMM applications. This position is critical to ensuring seamless document generation and management in line with business requirements, ultimately enhancing the user experience and functionality of the systems.
Responsibilities

Application Development:
- Create and modify SmartCOMM templates, layouts, and stylesheets to meet business requirements.
- Develop and maintain data models for accurate data representation in documents.
- Write and maintain scripts for automation and customization within SmartCOMM.

Customization:
- Collaborate with business analysts to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Implement enhancements to improve application functionality and user experience.

Integration:
- Integrate SmartCOMM with other enterprise systems (e.g., CRM, ERP) for seamless data flow.
- Develop and maintain APIs for integration with external systems.

Testing and Debugging:
- Conduct unit testing to ensure components function correctly and perform system testing for overall application functionality.
- Identify and resolve bugs in the application code.

Documentation:
- Create detailed technical documentation for developed solutions.
- Develop user guides and training materials for end-users.

Collaboration:
- Work closely with other developers, business analysts, and project managers to deliver projects on time.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates.

Support:
- Provide ongoing maintenance and support for SmartCOMM applications.
- Address and resolve any issues reported by users.
Qualifications

Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in SmartCOMM development or similar Customer Communication Management (CCM) solutions.
- Experience working on multiple SmartCOMM projects from inception to deployment.

Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SmartCOMM Modules including Advanced Template Designer, Data Modeler, and Web Editor.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, XML, and others.
- Experience with database management systems and SQL.

Problem-Solving:
- Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve development issues.
- Ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems.

Communication:
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Experience in developing and maintaining APIs for SmartCOMM integration.
- Familiarity with integrating SmartCOMM with third-party systems.

- Experience deploying SmartCOMM applications in cloud environments.

- Understanding of the insurance domain, particularly in document generation and management.
