Job Summary

The Head of New Product Development will be responsible for leading the entire product development lifecycle, from conceptualization to market launch. This role aims to drive innovation, improve product offerings, and ensure alignment with market trends and customer needs. The position reports directly to the Promoters and CEO and plays a critical role in strengthening the company's product portfolio and technical capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end New Product Development (NPD) processes, including concept creation, design, validation, industrialization, and product launch.
• Drive product innovation by aligning development efforts with customer requirements, market trends, and overall business objectives.
• Lead cross-functional teams across design, engineering, manufacturing, quality, and sourcing to ensure seamless project execution.
• Develop and implement NPD roadmaps, ensuring adherence to timelines, cost targets, quality standards, and performance metrics.
• Drive design optimization, value engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product efficiency and competitiveness.
• Build and strengthen NPD processes, systems, and technical capabilities to foster innovation and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in New Product Development or Product Engineering within engineering components or agricultural/farm equipment sectors.
• Proven track record in leading end-to-end product development and managing cross-functional engineering teams.
• In-depth understanding of design, manufacturing, validation, and product industrialization processes.
• Experience working with global customers and export markets is preferred.
• Strong technical, commercial, and stakeholder management skills.
• Educational qualification: Engineering degree from a reputed institution; postgraduate qualification is preferred.
