Job Overview:

Ossus Bio Renewables seeks a highly skilled and motivated Lead Power Electronics Engineer to join our innovative electronics team. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge electronic systems, focusing on embedded systems and power electronics. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive advancements in renewable energy solutions, contributing to the company’s mission of sustainable innovation.

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Lead the design, development and integration of smart high current density power supplies for our reactors.

2. implement features like telemetry and remote control of these power supplies through systems like PLCs or single board Linux based computers.

3. Oversee the integration of electronic components into larger systems, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and performance. 

4. Provide technical leadership to the electronics team, guiding project timelines, troubleshooting issues, and mentoring junior engineers. 

5. Conduct simulations and analyses using principles of physics and mathematics to validate designs and improve system performance. 

6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, biology, software, and product innovation engineers, to deliver cohesive solutions. 

7. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate best practices into designs and processes. 

8. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards throughout the development lifecycle.

Qualifications and Skills:

Irrespective of your degree, if you have the following qualities, you can apply

1. Good understanding of concepts in electronics.

2. experience in building power supplies, solid understanding of power electronics concepts and basic understanding of embedded systems and C language. 

3. Solid first-principle understanding of basic physics and mathematics as applied to electronics and system design. 

4. Hands-on experience with microcontrollers, circuit design, and PCB layout is highly desirable. 

5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. 

6. Good communication and leadership skills to guide and inspire a team of engineers. 

7. Prior experience in renewable energy or bio-renewable projects is a plus, but not necessary.
