Job Summary
As an Implementation Engineer, you will take charge of the migration strategy and execution for airline reservation systems. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless transition through effective project coordination, technical oversight, and customer support, ultimately contributing to the success of airline IT implementations.
Responsibilities

Implementation Activities
- Take end-to-end responsibility for the airline reservation system's migration strategy and execution.
- Coordinate and execute implementation plans, including cutover rehearsals and production cutovers.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer implementation plans.
- Identify and resolve showstoppers by coordinating with relevant teams.
- Deliver customer training sessions and workshops as required.

Customer Functional Support
- Provide functional expertise during and after implementation.
- Organize and execute testing with customers to validate configurations.
- Offer problem resolution and ongoing functional support.

Project Coordination
- Organize and execute implementation schedules, ensuring milestones are met.
- Provide formal status updates, KPIs, and customer feedback to management.
- Identify risks, anticipate issues, and propose solutions.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for seamless delivery.

Technical/Functional Expertise
- Understand architecture and deployment of Azure components.
- Work with Linux Operating System and shell commands.
- Utilize DevOps tools such as Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with middleware components like Redis, Kafka, and Couchbase.
- Experience in Agile and SAFe environments is a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 6-9 years of experience in the airline domain, with mandatory experience in the reservation domain.
- Strong understanding of Airline IT business; experience with Altea Inventory products (Revenue Integrity, RMS, Reservation) is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with Azure, Linux, DevOps tools, and container orchestration platforms.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills for customer-facing interactions.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and anticipate risks.
- Willingness to travel globally for customer engagements.
- Collaborative mindset with experience in Agile methodologies.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with additional DevOps tools and middleware technologies.
- Previous experience working in international and cross-cultural environments.
