Technical Lead

Job Summary

We are building a high-performance, scalable SaaS platform that handles massive enterprise-level customization and automation for 500+ enterprise customers such as Unilever, Apple, and Koch. As a Technical Lead, you will drive backend excellence and chart the technical future by architecting and maintaining scalable systems. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our platform not only meets today’s rigorous needs for security, performance, and scalability but is also well-prepared for tomorrow’s challenges.

Responsibilities

• Lead Backend Development: Oversee backend development across product teams to ensure the system’s scalability, security, and high performance.
• Architect and Maintain Systems: Design and maintain robust database structures and backend services that support growing workloads and evolving business use cases.
• Drive Technical Decisions: Make key technology and architectural decisions to enhance code quality, modularity, and long-term maintainability.
• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with Product Managers, Solution Architects, and DevOps to deliver high-quality solutions that solve real customer problems.
• Mentor and Guide Engineers: Provide leadership through code reviews, design discussions, and regular technical feedback, fostering a culture of continuous technical improvement.
• Lead Technical Initiatives: Own major initiatives including new product architecture, system refactors, and performance upgrades to continuously push the boundaries of technical excellence.

Qualifications

• Technical Leadership: 3+ years in a technical leadership role with 5+ years of experience in scaling enterprise SaaS platforms.
• Backend Development: 3+ years of hands-on backend development experience using languages such as Ruby, Node.js, Python, or Java.
• System Design & Optimization: Minimum 3+ years of experience in system design, API development, and performance optimization.
• Team Management: At least 2+ years of experience managing teams of 5+ engineers and spearheading hiring initiatives.
• Database Expertise: Strong experience with Postgres, MongoDB, and designing systems for high-traffic environments.
• Distributed Systems: In-depth knowledge of distributed systems along with a solid grasp of system design and architecture principles.
• Cloud Architecture: Familiarity with scalable cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• DevOps Tools: Hands-on experience with Docker/Kubernetes and Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Skills

• Solution-First Mindset: A proactive approach to solving complex problems while pushing technical boundaries.
• System Debugging & Optimization: Proven ability in debugging edge cases and resolving performance bottlenecks in production systems.
• Leadership Experience: Prior exposure as a tech lead, senior engineer, or architect, with a focus on scaling backend systems in demanding environments.

Experience

7–12 years of overall experience in backend development and technical leadership, with a strong background in building, scaling, and maintaining enterprise-level SaaS platforms.
