Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Manager with a passion for developing and scaling responsible financial solutions for underserved people globally. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and disseminating data-driven models such as credit scoring models and customer segmentation models, as well as analytics capabilities using cutting-edge machine learning techniques. This role involves executing projects on the ground, collaborating with financial institutions to deliver advanced machine learning and statistical models, and supporting the design of customer-centric financial products and services.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and control of statistical transactional analytic models, integrating applicable machine learning and AI techniques.
• Coordinate with data analysts for all data requirements needed for model deployment, statistical analysis, and tool development.
• Manage, develop, and implement statistical models to support credit, collection, account maintenance, and customer profiling.
• Validate the consistency of information required for constructing statistical models through statistical tools.
• Develop and present training material to facilitate the implementation of risk-based segmentation tools and models.
• Build capacity and assist financial service providers (FSPs) in implementing Portfolio Risk Management tools.
• Participate in ongoing reviews and analyses of credit portfolios to determine delinquency patterns and recommend actions.
• Support business development efforts, including creating and presenting project proposals to clients and donors.

Qualifications

• Experience: 8+ years of progressive experience in lending or retail operations in reputable financial service providers, consulting organizations, or fintechs.
• Education:
  • MSc/MA in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or Business; MBA or equivalent preferred.
• Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge of web programming languages such as Python and Java.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, and Docker.
  • Advanced statistical and financial skills; experience in Credit Risk Modeling/Analysis and Data Mining.
• Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience

Environment

• This is a full-time position with travel requirements of up to 30% domestically and occasional international trips. The work environment can be semi-structured and may involve collaboration with multicultural teams.

• Estimated salary range: 5,000,000 - 5,999,967
